Pre-Factory Custom 24

A highly desirable pre-factory Custom 24 with a maple top and natural binding.  Great sound and natural resonance on this one.  Original HFS and Vintage Bass pick-ups.  These are the early and sought “white label” pick-ups.

A “players” guitar in every sense.  This instrument is hands-down one of the very finest playing guitars I’ve ever encountered.  I’m (obviously) a huge fan of PRS guitars.  I’ve owned, bought, sold and gigged over 300 of them in the past 12 years.  You only have to spend a couple of minutes with this guitar to know that it has the fastest, sleekest, most comfortable neck and action around.  The playability of this guitar is a clear cut above even other fine PRS guitars.  It has an extremely comfortable wide/thin neck carve, feather light action and strong natural resonance.  I picked this guitar up in spite of several bumps, scrapes and finish repairs it has because it plays and sounds so good.  I’ll give it a 7.9 cosmetic rating and it is priced accordingly.  The playability rating would be 11.5 however.   This is a highly sought and collectable vintage instrument that you won’t have to be afraid to take into a club.

Here are some things to think about as you look through the pictures. Read more at the bottom of the listing page.

• A collectable pre-factory guitar
• All original pots, wiring and pick-ups
• White label HFS & Vintage Bass pick-ups
• Small neck heel
• Incredible playability
• One-piece Mil-Com bridge

If you’re looking for a museum piece, please move on to some of my other listings or back to evil-Bay to find one.  This guitar is played and meant to be played.  The finish repair on the back was extremely well done.  They missed touching up some of the underlying black pigment but the surface texture of the finish is utterly perfect.  I don’t know how they accomplished that over a relatively large area.  Smooth to the touch in every aspect and flawlessly buffed to a factory perfect shine, even in reflective light.  Some of the minor dings were touched up with less care than was given the back.  Including the ones on the top above the bridge pick-up.  The rosewood board is nicely figured and the frets have very little wear as seen in the pictures.

A rock solid vintage collectable player. Comes with original PRS hard case. No case candy or tremolo bar with this one. one of the back-plate screws is missing.

Please be sure to take a moment and click here to look at my ABOUT page or access it from the top menu bar.  You can click HERE to access my e-Bay feedback profile ( e-Bay seller dm-2 ) directly as well.  I encourage even the smallest of questions so always feel free to e-mail me any time.  Over 140 of my e-Bay feedback ratings are from PRS guitar sales.  If you’ve come to this page directly through an organic Google search, you can see a list of all the PRS guitars I currently have for sale HERE.

This guitar is currently listed on e-Bay with a starting price of $275 more than I’m asking here at my home page, due to outrageous e-Bay seller fees.  I just saw an emerald 92 sell on e-Bay for $2380 this week.  Why pay more than you have to?  I will also be putting it on a rotating consignment schedule in two local music stores but I’m asking more there too, as they take a pretty healthy cut if they sell it.  When the right person plays it, they will buy it just like I did. It may be gone very soon.  Send me an e-mail and we’ll talk.
