Rosewood neck guitars have extraordinary tone and sustain.  I have three listed on my site and I’m planning to keep one of them so if you’re here, you should consider making a move before either this guitar or the other two are gone.

This guitar is virtually un-played.  I gigged it a few times with various pick-up configurations to see if I could make it sound even better than it did from the factory.  Nope….  The factory installed HFS / Vintage Bass pick-ups are the perfect choice for this guitar.  I tried it with Mc Carty’s (both covered and uncovered), pre-factory Artist pick-ups, zebra Dragon 1’s and even original stamped “T” & “B” pick-ups.  Some sounded good.  Some were unexpectedly disappointing.  None were as good as the HFS / VB.  He got it absolutely right the first time so those pick-ups are back in their rightful place, exactly as built.  I probably have some video of this guitar at one of the gigs.  Reach out if you want to see / hear the instrument and I’ll try to dig up a video file to send along.

Anyone who has ever taken a picture will tell you that red guitars are virtually impossible to capture in digital photography.  These pictures came out pretty fair but even in my best effort, they just don’t do the guitar justice.  This rare one-piece top has a beautiful quilt pattern that moves as you look at it from different angles.

In the interest of complete disclosure, I did put a tiny surface scratch on the top which you can only (barely) see from certain angles of light.  It is not deep or to the finish, just in the V-12 clear coat.  I took a close-up of it in angled light for your consideration.  You’ve already seen the picture, about 1/2 way down the photo spread above.  As you can see throughout the entire photo spread, this little cat whisker streak is not even visible in any pictures of the top, only in the angled close-up.  This little mark (for which I take full responsibility) is the ONLY thing that keeps me from calling this guitar DEAD MINT!!!  If you’ve ever owned a brand new car and seen that full row of zero’s across the dashboard before driving it off the lot, that is the feeling you get when you hold and play this guitar.  Cleaner than most brand new PRS guitars hanging in the music store.  The case is equally well kept.

Comes with original PRS hard case, the original tremolo bar, the original hang tag, adjustment tools and a CD of the factory production pictures.

Check my e-Bay feedback profile by clicking HERE and/or e-mail me with any questions.  Over 140 of my e-Bay feedback ratings are from PRS guitar sales.  PRS guitars are an investment.  You’ll ALWAYS have the option to re-sell it for as much or more than you paid.

This guitar is also listed on e-Bay with a starting price of $425 more than I’m asking here at my home page, due to outrageous e-Bay seller fees.  It is also on a rotating consignment schedule in two local music stores but I’m asking more there too, as they take a pretty healthy cut if they sell it.  Why pay more than you have to?  It may be gone soon.  Send me an e-mail and we’ll talk.
